JOB PURPOSE:
Accountable to lead the country Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) for all China Franchises and Business Units (Rx, CHC, SGZ and Vx) to facilitate a sustainable business growth in the operational and tactical horizons, strongly connected to Sanofi China’s strategic ambitions. Responsible for the progress and evolution of the China S&OP into Integrated Business Planning (IBP) to deliver a sustained improvement in forecast accuracy and bias while improving the demand planning processes, tools and team capabilities. Be accountable of risk management and critical decision making in terms of demand, supply, inventories and optimal supply chain cost with clear timeline and actions. Drives for country-wide change management through clear accountability of cross functional S&OP objectives and deliverables in all China Business Units. Be accountable of the implementation of new S&OP/demand planning process, tools and methodology as best practice (SCCORE/Kinaxis). In coordination with the Head of Supply Chain, work with the Local and Global Supply Chain & Industrial Affairs function to identify and integrate S&OP best practices in China’s organization.
SUPERVISED RESOURCES:
Manage a team of 10-12 S&OP Business Partners, Demand Planners and Analysts.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Accountable for delivering a reliable & efficient S&OP process with cross-functional teams by conducting monthly S&OP/demand meetings with BUs, Finance, commercial, plants and other crossfunctional teams. Assure the planning team has an effective collaboration with upstream and downstream stakeholders to effectively manage the operational planning activities and risk management scenarios to smoothen variability and uncertainty in Sanofi China business. Manage the generation of the +24-36 months rolling forecasts & demand plan through effective leadership of the consensus process via cross functional inputs to identify building blocks and potential opportunities for solidifying all business forecast assumptions and aggregated demand plan. Oversees a realistic conversion of the sell-out forecast into ex-factory (domestic or import) / in-market sales forecast by gathering commercial and business intelligence and building blocks to enrich the S&OP demand plan. Drives the optimization of the inventories across plants / importers, distribution centers and distributors to secure market needs and plants operation while eliminating either sales rupture risk or inventories write-off risks via early identification of such risks and the corresponding corrective actions. Properly communicates to China management for proactive resolution. Assures a correct upstream service level agreement and transparent long range planning could be fully understood by both local plants and oversea IA platform which could guarantee long term business development in Sanofi China. Conducts strategic planning such as site transfer, local repackaging / manufacturing projects or critical stockpiling decisions with management team by driving accurate solutions and progress of the critical timeline. Supervises new products launch plan across all business units and assures the best launch timeline could be reached by close crossfunctional team work. Supports the validation of Long Range Plans (LRP) volumes in collaboration with Sourcing / Business case teams. Attracts, retains and develops the S&OP Team to improve their overall skills, competencies and value. Maintain and drive people development as a cornerstone to building a world-class S&OP and demand planning process. Creates a performance-driven organization through effective objective setting, performance management, succession planning, recruitment and retention actions. Develops a fast learning and sharing S&OP/Demand Planning team moral.
JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Minimum of Bachelor Degree related to Supply Chain or Operations Management.
- MBA or higher degree as a plus.
Experience and KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- 10 years in end-to-end supply chain management, with 5 years in pharmaceutical industries.
- International / overseas working experience.
