Job Responsibilities:

  

• Monitor local compliance policy development and changes. Act as the Compliance responsible person for policies, education, and training in the affiliate. Provide regular compliance training to reinforce knowledge and awareness; initiate thorough communication of ad-hoc compliance news (policy update, requirement clarification, important news, etc.); Provide clarification of policy and procedures. Address local team queries and support with related advice

  

• Proactive involvement of stakeholders’ business activity including regular meetings, projects planning with compliance insights provided so to enable a more compliant business design from beginning.
• Champion decision-making that prioritises ethics and principles of patients values before performance-based decisions
• Connect between business team and compliance team to ensure voice from each side can be well heard and understood (e.g. feedbacks of policy update implementation, concern/suggestion of compliance process, request for change or help, etc.). Influence business management to foster appropriate understanding of compliance

  

• Support business on innovation related process, including primary screening of project ideas to ensure close connection with Patient Value; guide project owner to prepare for compliance innovation committee review and follow up actions
• Ensure that the global, regional, and local compliance strategy, processes, procedures and guidelines is implemented across the affiliate to enable continuous and sustainable sales growth;

  

• Ensure all employees are adequately aware and trained on UCB, business ethics, policies, and procedures
• Support the regional monitor activity monitoring processes, to concur or disagree business activity in system (e.g. ARC, etc.) through prudent review on activity nature and document adequacy
• Support management to define and implement improvement strategy and actions regarding revealed compliance issue (monitoring result, process gap, investigation result follow up
• Support the professional conduct processes with regard to non-compliant behavior.
• Provide regular reporting to China Compliance Officer on compliance related update
• Champion speak-up, transparency and a culture of integrity.
• Maintaining and reviewing the risk management system
• Support internal audit preparation, site visit, and follow up as required.
• Join different level of compliance team meetings; provide insights on compliance policy/process improvement; participant in key project meetings like compliance innovation committee
• Actively follow trends in the market, regulatory environment including in business practices

Requirements（Education & Experience）:

  

• Minimum 5 years of work experience related to compliance/auditing/legal or related

• Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical business concept and operational activities in the relevant division and its associated compliance risks

• Solid time management, prioritization, and organization skills

• Good Interpersonal skills

• Ability to train and lead presentations

• Innovation and flexible thinking

• Good analytic capability including the ability to identify root causes of issues and corrective actions

• Good capability evaluating and balancing risks with business needs and processes

• Native Chinese speaker, fluent in both oral and written English

• Good Excel, Power Point skills
