ABOUT DIRECT HR:
DIRECT HR IS A PREMIUM CHINA-FOCUSED RECRUITMENT FIRM SPECIALIZED IN SUPPORTING LEADING EUROPEAN, AMERICAN AND CHINESE EMPLOYERS WITH THEIR TALENT ACQUISITION IN CHINA.
Client:
An international Fortune 500 company with leading technologies and solutions in producing large air gases projects and equipment
Salary:
Competitive Salary (depending on experience)
Starting date:
As soon as possible
Location:
Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China
Reporting to:
Project Department Director
Travelling:
About 20%
Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Commercial project management of one or more of Lurgi's plant engineering projects
+ Coordination of commercial aspects of projects within a worldwide network
+ Invoicing and cash management
+ Customer relations and contract related correspondence
+ Change orders and claims towards clients, vendors and subcontractors
+ Handling of insurance claims
+ Coordination of taxation and permanent establishments in foreign countries together with central tax dept
+ Protection of currency risks together with central treasury dept
+ Administration of securities by export credit agencies together with central treasury department
Requirements:
+ At least the Bachelor degree in engineering, beneficially seconded by interest/experinece in commercial matters and experience in drafting or administration of contracts in plant engineering
+ Around 10 years of total experience, including ideally 3 years experience in plant engineering preferably in petrochemical plants
+ Experience should cover some of the aspects of commercial project management e.g. contract administration, invoicing, administration of securities and letters of credit, claims and change orders, cash management, cost control and reporting to senior management
+ Plant engineering in petrochemical, with participation in the bidding phase of the project, and involvement in the commercial negotiation of large project contracts (around 200M EUR and above)
+ Work experience in petrochemical plant is preferred
+ Commercial understanding
+ Team worker capable of dealing with different national mentalities, on the side of clients as well as with subcontractors and vendors
+ Must be capable of establishing the company's commercial position and he must be convincing in negotiations
+ Excellent command of spoken and written English is required
