Responsibilities:
As Chief Controller you will have complete financial management responsibilities of the Business Unit's activities in China including financial accounting, management accounting, and reporting to the headquarter in Germany:
+ Conduct accurate, relevant and timely financial analysis to support general management in making effective business decisions.
+ Secure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that group process standards are implemented.
+ Participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute in developing the business in accordance to the strategy and targets.
+ Raise "red flags" to operational management whenever compliance with sound business principles are at risk.
+ Focus on business control activities that add value to the consolidated business.
+ Implement effective business control processes and tools.
+ Promote transparency in facts and figures to ensure a decision process based on adequate and objective information.
+ Secure that solid asset management procedures are in place, safeguarding that the company operates with a minimum of capital tied up.
+ Safeguard that the accounting is in accordance with the local statutory accounting practices and that monthly and quarterly group reports, are correct, complete and on time.
+ Make sure that appropriate risk awareness and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal auditors get necessary support.
+ Cost planning and control in relation to Revenues.
+ Control of product and functional costs
+ Support saving initiatives in Purchasing
+ Provide tools to follow up pre/post calculations of projects, product costing, investments and admin. development+ Secure legal and statutory compliance

Requirements:
+ Business Degree with preferred major in Business Finance
+ Minimum 5 years' experience within a financial management or controlling function for a manufacturing company
+ Work experience within a Western enterprise based in China required.
+ Experience gained in both manufacturing and an international environment.
+ China GAAP is required.
+ Superior technical financial skills, balanced with sound business judgment. The ability to effectively balance financial and operational factors and to analyze complex business problems and develop appropriate solutions in a timely and responsive manner.
+ Knowledge of ERP systems.
+ Knowledge of local standard tax regulations.
+ Knowledge in cost controlling.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent business and analytical skills.
+ The candidate must be able to define and drive the continuous improvements within the financial arena, so they need to be flexible in considering ideas but have the ability to implement change by means of communication to all internal parties.
+ A focused individual who is constantly looking to improve the process and procedures to ensure optimal results.
+ Fluent in written and spoken English. German would be nice.
+ Willing to work and live in the Greater Ningbo area.
