Essential Responsibilities
- Work out system level solutions and concept designs for complete complex-structured automatic UT testing solutions, which is the base for further detailed design work from members in diversified technical domains like mechanical, electrical and software
- Lead a multi-domain project engineering team to design, build, test and deliver a complete machine to the final acceptance at customer site in system level with technical leadership and program management skills
- Work with cross function teams like project management, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, service and safety in the whole project process to ensure all technical issues be tracked and controlled
- Work out technical solutions, detailed proposals and cost calculations for customized UT testing systems based on customer requirements to support sales team to win orders, may take face-to-face discussions with customer directly
- Perform design reviews on system, component and sub-system levels in diversified domains under GE review process
- Support and execute on-site installation, assembly and commissioning work to achieve the final acceptance by customer
- Create innovative ideas, patents and technical articles based on daily engineering work
- Support design engineers to solve detailed technical problems with strong system level knowledge and experiences
- Understand technology and market trends in a dynamic way and define product roadmap and innovation direction
- Conduct communications with global teams on both technical and operational topics to improve China team’s technical ability and enhance global collaborations
- Perform Ultrasound Application testing and create reports for customer
Role Summary/Purpose
The Advanced Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems. Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s or above degree in Engineering Domains from NDT, Mechanical, Automation, Material, and other relevant fields
- Strong knowledge on NDT domain in both theory and application together with system level design and build
- 5+ years of hands-on experiences in the design & build of automatic machinery & equipment like mechanical, automation, system engineer roles.
- Direct development and project experiences in Healthcare/NDT industry for big / customized UT system is a plus
- Direct experience of developing UT Immersion Tank products is a plus
- Technical leadership and influence in a multi-domain engineering team
- Proactive, positive, productive
- Communicates effectively in Chinese and English
- A proved fast learner, self motivated, willing to take challenges
- Willing to travel
