职位描述：
System Test Engineer
This is a temporary position with 1 year contract.

Desired Skills:
Test Development:
? Creates test methods and applies test cases needed to address requirements in a timely manner while following the development and test workflow for the project.
? Designs, implements, and conducts cost-effective, comprehensive test and evaluation procedures to ensure product requirements are met.
? Develops test tools that yield cost effective and reliable pass/fail results.
? Works with team leaders and senior engineers to establish product test requirements and performance goals.
? Produces and maintains accurate test documentation, including product test reports.
? Reports problems through formal bug tracking system.
? Maintains Engineering notebook.

Technology Development:
? Contributes to creation/improvement of new technology required to test Home Entertainment Division products.
? Creates prototypes of new test tools or methods.
? Provides input to the test team and the design team regarding
implementation limitations of individual test methods.
? Verifies new/improved test methods.

Technical Leadership:
? Serves as a resource for technical knowledge and expertise to junior test team members, continues to improve skills.
? Maintains an awareness of current industry developments in testing of user interface applications, embedded systems, and signal processing hardware and software.
? Helps identify and investigate areas that have potential application to current testing and verification strategies.
? Seeks out and applies technical expertise from more senior staff.

Project Task Management:
? Serves as team member with responsibility for assigned project tasks and subsystems.
? Works with project leader and Test Manager to establish test schedule, task milestones, and product acceptance criteria.
? Reports to Test Manager on progress, roadblocks, and risks for assigned tasks.
? Responsible for test implementation from initial development work through completion per established requirements or transfer of responsibility.
Teamwork and Communications:
? Provides assistance and expertise to other groups and internal/external customers.
? Ensures test team manager is aware of new major issues.
? Readily accepts input from other team members.
? Demonstrates good verbal and written skills.


Requirements:
? BS degree or equivalent experience in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
? Working knowledge of evaluation methods in the design, development, and debugging of hardware and software systems.
? 5 + years in software testing, including design, development, and execution of test and verification systems.
? Knowledge and experience in designing or testing digital audio encoders/ decoders, video signal processing and in test automation procedures.
? Practical experience testing the interaction of software and hardware in a realtime embedded system a plus.
? Methodical and detail-oriented with a thorough approach to problem solving, good communication skills, and a team-oriented work ethic.
? Web Server and complex database testing a plus.
? Exposure to more advanced technologies and applications, such as programming (Visual Basic, C++, Java, LabView), relational databases, web design (HTML, JavaScript, VBScript), networking (TCP/IP) preferred
? Perform black box testing and white box testing of complex distributed
system.
? Test development and execution at all levels (unit, component, system, and white box)
? Execute tests on back-end applications that may not have an interface 举报 分享
