Polestar-Connected Services Manager APAC

Business structure:

The role reports directly to the Polestar Head of IT Chinese Operations (temporarily to the Polestar CIO, whilst the Head of IT position is empty), with close alignment to the Global Manager Connected Services.

Purpose:

To build and develop connectivity competency, capabilities and opportunities within the Chinese Polestar organisation, to initiate and manage strategic and tactical work streams in order to develop and then maintain new and existing channels and products.

Although the applicant will report to the Head of IT Chinese Operations and the Global Manager Connected Services, close local business engagement is essential, along with the close alignment to appropriate APAC IT functions to build and develop up the Volvo products and technology within the APAC region.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities are grouped into three areas for the role:

Innovation:
? Working closely with the key stakeholders identify new opportunities to drive and support business initiatives within connectivity services building and developing upon the Volvo products and technology within the APAC region
? Act as the subject matter expert, educating and explaining the art of the possible, to understand potential solutions and partnerships and their fit to the business opportunities
? Establishing collaboration opportunities with selected partners, enabling new connected services that scale but also pilot programs as appropriate within the APAC region
Delivery:
? Maintain a portfolio/demand plan including cost tracking and timescales
? Where necessary, manage the day-to-day running of multiple activities and projects through their entire lifecycle, including the management of issue and risk resolution, change control and inter-project dependencies across the portfolio where appropriate.
? Work closely with all stakeholders to understand business requirements and the prioritisation of activities and projects, developing effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for delivery and support
? Ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with IT governance guidelines and processes
Support:
? Maintain a clear view of the performance of current operational Connectivity systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement within the APAC region
? Manage the resolution of problems resulting from performance issues and / or customer feedback.
? Ensure end to end Incident and Problem resolution processes are in place and fit for purpose to support the Polestar customer, including the teams that support the customer with them
? Establish and maintain a management review process to ensure all operational issues are being identified and stakeholders are informed of improvement progress
Competence Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of Project Management with a proven background in a Connectivity Service delivery and support environment.
You should also demonstrate:
? A proven strong track record of performing a similar role, with demonstrable skills managing and delivering technology enabled projects.
? Cross functional collaboration and an ability to excel in environments where requirements can be often ambiguous
? Good communications and presentation skills with the ability to adjust communication styles depending on type of target audience
? Ability to have a strong impact and be able to influence key decisions
? Ability to digest complex issues and present in clear concise fashion
? Experience in developing relationships with various stakeholders across the full cross section of business functions including external partners and suppliers.
