职位描述：
Description:
- Designs and executes non-routine lab tasks generally without supervision;
- Trains technicians and junior scientist in all areas of laboratory operations;
- Assumes departmental responsibility for assigned projects, if needed;
- The primary scope of responsibility is within the immediate discipline and secondarily to have expertise handling tasks of multi-disciplinary nature;
- Performs all works in conformance with safety and cGMP regulation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Independently design and execute meaningful experiments intended to identify process parameters for the large scale preparation of API and intermediates
- Good understanding of process development, scale up, equipment and operational issues including economics, cycle time, green chemistry principles, process safety and operability
- Operates, calibrates and qualifies lab equipment, and writes operating procedures for scale up
- Coaches, mentors, trains, supervises and develops junior staff
- Communicates own work in verbal and written forms
- Identifies new equipment and techniques/technologies and modifies equipment as needed to meet scale up requirements
- Complies with applicable regulations, and performs all work in a safe manner;
- Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies
- Represents in departmental project team and assumes specific responsibility for departmental operation commensurate with technical ability and experience

Requirements:
- Doctor’s Degree, Master’s Degree with 6+ years’ experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years or equivalent preferably in synthetic organic chemistry
- Demonstrated successful independent synthetic organic chemistry laboratory experience and the understanding of operation fundamentals required for process scale up and chemical manufacturing
- Ability to independently design and optimize target synthetic route suitable for manufacturing, and ability to evaluate and interpret data
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced training in the areas of technical expertise and scale up operation
- Must be able to work in a team environment, provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel and act as a leader in absence of the supervisor
- Ability to prepare technical reports, patents, publications and oral presentations
- Understanding of cGMP and safety regulations
- Chemical engineering background/experience is a plus not a must 举报 分享
