Responsibilities:

Developing, qualifying and managing Suppliers and Supplier Manufacturing Processes.
Driving Design Quality Improvement within Bose and within Suppliers
Performing Process Audits at Supplier sites to verify Capability.
Driving Manufacturing Process Readiness and Capability within Suppliers
Managing and coordinating New Product Introduction at supplier facilities
Assisting part qualification support for various electrical and mechanical commodities.
Providing leadership and work with cross function team in resolving supplier quality issues, leading effectively for root cause analysis.
Driving Manufacturing Process Improvements with Suppliers.
Scaling Suppliers to do drive Sub-Tier or commodity supplier base improvement.
Driving Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Principles within Suppliers.
Process Control Validation activities for mature and critical commodities.
Coordinate between the supplier, corporate, and other Bose plants on the resolution of supplier performance issues or excursions.
Actively engaging with GSM team and program team to identify mitigation of potential quality risks and ensure continuity of BOSE product supply and delivery.

Skills:

University or college graduated with major in ME or EE or other engineering related, ME or EE background is preferable, but not a must.
Minimum 6 years working experience in relevant industry and positions. Printer Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) mfg process or final assembly process for audio product or Mechanical in plastic/sheet metal are preferred.
Technology knowledge of Pb-Free, RoHS, and ELV/IMDS requirements. Working knowledge in DFM/DFT is advanced.
A background in Quality Improvement processes and techniques such as, SPC, TS16949, PPAP, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing is an advantage. ASQ certification is preferred.
Working experience in developing, managing and improving supplier capability is a must.
Strong capability and sense in balancing capability with product complexity to achieve world class Quality with exceptional transformation cost.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skill with capability to work independently and under pressure.
Good spoken and written English with proficient Mandarin.
Ability to travel as needed (approximately 15% - 30%).
