Job Description:
        The person hired for the position will be a member of the Design & Engineering Solutions team which is part of 3M APAC Central Engineering. The hired engineer will provide concepts and designs of process equipment for use in the manufacture of 3M products based on business partner requirements. They will also coordinate the fabrication and installation of equipment and provide proper documentation of equipment designs and parts as required.
Job Responsibilities：
        Create concepts, designs and layouts of process equipment for business partners in manufacturing, laboratory and other corporate facilities throughout APAC region. Ensure all requirements meet the standards and business partner specifications, selecting the best design alternative and prioritizing assignments to meet completion dates.
        Contributes to the development and/or application of Disruptive Technologies for proprietary positions. Protects 3M Intellectual Property through the understanding and appropriate use of competitive technology awareness, government regulation awareness, supplier/consultant agreements, Invention Submissions, Patents and 3M Technical Notebooks. Completes proper documentation of equipment design, drawings, parts, bills of materials, as-built for bids fabrication, equipment installations, etc.
        Assists in the purchasing and expediting of commercial parts and equipment by selecting the appropriate vendor. Prepares purchase and shop work orders. Follows through with equipment fabrication or facilities construction by coordinating installation, check out and start up.
        Communicates with project/program business partners, suppliers and/or engineers regarding equipment design and status. Provides input to and monitors project timetables and costs. Participates in or leads design review meetings.
        Enhances technical knowledge through courses, seminars and/or classes. May lead small project teams. Performs other duties as assigned.
        Provides facilities support for capital project planning and execution and for EHS continuous improvement activities for manufacturing, laboratory, office and other areas, regionally, as needed.
Qualifications：
        Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design Technologies with 3 to 5 years of related job experience is required. Candidate is required to apply knowledge of technical principles and processes such as those used in mechanical or industrial design technology.
        Good problem solving and analytical skills, able to work independently and resourceful.
        Solid knowledge of Mechanics, Dynamics, and Heat Transfer Fluid Mechanics are preferred.
        Practical machine/device or manufacturing system design experiences are required. Experiences on designing coating machines, web handling machines, robotics, and/or automated assembly/automation machines are strongly preferred.
        Proficient in mechanical design and the use of CAD/CAE (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Engineering) tools and has good knowledge on proper design practices and procedures. Must be proficient in the use of CAD Systems: NX, AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS. Knowledge and experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software is also preferred.
        Fluent oral and written English skills.
        Able to travel 20%+, domestically and internationally. 举报 分享
