Key responsibilities:
Server&Middleware Maintenance and Support
1. Maintain the middleware used within Volvo Cars IT in China.
All interfaces between different systems is setup via the following middleware:
- VCOM : Volvo Communication messaging system.
- WebSphere MQ : Messages Queuing form IBM.
- EDI / OFTP2 used to communicate with the suppliers.
2. Setup the needed monitoring and escalation routines for all middleware used within Volvo Cars China.
3. Support the different applications when new integrations are needed.
4. Maintain all application servers used at Volvo Cars in China:
- WebSphere Application Server (IBM)
- IIS (Microsoft)
- TAX/TSERVER (Volvo Cars product)
- Oracle Application Server
5. Deploy the needed application on the application servers.
6. Document the configuration of the middleware and application servers.
7. Assist in system and integration testing.
8. Track the service quality from the outsourcing suppliers to meet the SLA.
Qualification:
Bachelor or Master in computer science or application
Experience in one of the following areas is needed:
WebSphere, IIS, MQ, EDI or Oracle .
Automobile industry background is plus.
1. Good knowledge of middleware solutions.
2. Good knowledge about WebSphere, TOMCAT, Internet Information Server and Oracle Application Server.
3. Knowledge about Oracle or SQL Server is a plus.
4. Knowledge of MS windows and unix/linux.
5. Able to work efficiently under high pressure. Able to work in project organizations.
6. Good oral/written English. Good interpersonal skills. Good team work spirit. Self-motivator and flexible.
