Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective working customer relationships
- Analyze financial statements, trade references, bank credit reports, and industry conditions to evaluate customer credit worthiness.
- Propose customer credit limits and payment terms; Makes recommendations to reduce/mitigate risk
- Work the customer relationship to optimize progress billings. Lead the liaison between external customer and internal project managers to proactively manage the balance between accurate, timely billing and maximization of receipts
- Actively lead the reduction of accounts receivable. In the HBS business this includes both Unbilled Project and all Billed Receivables
- Visit, if required or Contact customers on past due invoice and perform resolution of disputed invoices.
- Participate in overall Net AR WC goal achievement
- Lead resolution of disputes with assistance of Field Leaders and Finance Support. Ensure team and individual goals on dispute reduction/resolution are achieved.
- Manage and administer customer accounts including customer account reconciliations and some direction of application of unapplied credits/cash
- Identify and escalate defined uncollectible accounts
- Act as a control point for business AR specific policies and processes
- Work with the HBS HKG/PRC Finance team to develop the Annual Operating Plan and regular financial forecasts on Working Capital to the North Asia leaders
- Provide L/C and Bank Draft supports to Sales/Operations team when required
- Cross functional alignment and collaboration with Supply Chain team/Operations team/Procurement to Pay team to drive Inventory and Accounts Payable improvements.
- Are comfortable in a results driven environment.
Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting with Good English & Cantonese [?k?nt??ni:z]
- 3 years experience in finance, accounting or managing external customer relationships
- 3 years experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
Additional Qualifications
- 5 years experience in finance or accounting function
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with both internal and external customers required.
- Knowledge in working with database applications; Oracle & SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Understanding of, or the willingness to learn financial accounting basics
- Understanding of Solutions & Service business complexity
