Main Tasks
Main tasks for the Outbound quality supervisor are to;
? Define and communicate OBL Transport Quality instructions and OBL Transport Quality requirements towards Volvo Cars internal department and LSPs
? Develop and improve Volvo vehicle handling standards
? Identify and communicate IT related improvements and suggestions to the IT function within OBL and towards LSPs
? Execute OBL audits, to follow up that requirements and demands are implemented and followed through the whole process and develop action plan with LSPs where the gaps exist
? Identify risks in the transport chain of vehicles from the factory to dealers
? Provide updated information regarding OBL transport damages to relevant stakeholders within Volvo Cars to ensure that transportation damages and preventive measurements are updated according to our strategy
? Monitor and Communicate the OBL Transport Quality targets, drive and demand the appropriate actions
? Be the OBL counterpart for Volvo Cars insurance program and claims handling
? Follow up the claim settlement within agreed lead time
? Protect the end customer at all times through the disciplined application of stop shipment process and represent OBL in quality deviation meetings
? Be the contact person for Volvo Cars internal and external parties that have issues with transportation damages and handle their inquiries
? Meet with LSPs on regular bases to review the performance and targets
? Be an ambassador of Volvo Quality towards LSPs.
? Support process improvements, projects, proposals and new initiatives
? Support OBL Purchasing in decisions and set up of new LSPs
? Support Road and Ocean carrier teams when damages occurs and make judgments and take decisions based on required data from carriers with support from Volvo Cars experts (e.g. R&D, Quality, goods reception, etc.)

Responsibility

The Outbound DQ quality supervisor is responsible to:
? Be the owner and accountable person of the KPIs of transportation damage targets OBL.
? Stop shipment to customers in case of serious quality deviations and with support from Volvo Cars product experts take decision for further distribution or repair
? Take the necessary initiatives to constantly find ways to improve our transportation / yard quality
? Guide the external and internal parties so that our standards, demands and customer expectations are met
? Keep the stakeholders informed about the issue areas and countermeasures

Competence requirements
? Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality or logistics outbound operations, planning and warehousing functions.
? The competence requirements shall be included in this doc Strong leadership and communication skills
? Results-oriented and accountability
? Good knowledge in Outbound operations, Global Volvo environment, Outbound and Volvo Quality requirements
? Strong customer-focus and service mindset
? Strong English language skills, spoken and written
? Experience in Outbound operations, Quality management and managing & leading teams
? Excellent track record as team player in large complex organisations
? Very good understanding of customer demands and expectations
? Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change
