About (Department)

The Technology function within the Technology, Finance and Investment Admin department provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Technology function also incorporates the Technology Control function, which is responsible for managing security and risk across the FIL business and Technology functions.

Technology Control is responsible for:

? Protecting the Technology Environment from internal and external threats,

? Application Security (through secure coding practices, penetration testing, and developer training)

? Centralised Access Management – working to principles of least privilege, access appropriate to role, and Role Based Access Control

? Security Policy and Standards Management,

? Risk and Audit Management,

? Change Management

? Disaster Recovery

Purpose of your role

This role primarily supports the strategic IAM (Identity & Access Management) application environments which provide Authentication, Authorisation, Governance and SSO/Federation services to business critical applications. It is anticipated that this product set will expand in the future to also include support for other security applications.

The resource is required to have excellent infrastructure technology hands-on skills and experience, and is preferred to have experience working with Web Access Management and Identity Management technologies. Experience working with NetIQ’s Identity and Access Management suite of products, such as Novell eDirectory, Novell Identity Manager and Novell Access Manager would be beneficial.

Acting as Level1 and 2 support, the application support team is responsible for incident trouble-shooting and resolution, in line with business service level agreements, and uptime requirements. The application support team is responsible for escalation to and on-going liaison with vendor support for any issues which cannot be remediated internally.

In addition to Level1 and 2 support, this role also supports the scheduled changes required across a Production environment, such as infrastructure and application patching and upgrades. Importantly, this role also supports the regular DR testing of these critical business services and supporting technologies.

Your key accountabilities

· Responding to production incidents and issues

· Keeping the application ‘live’ – level 1 support

· Performance and functionality troubleshooting/remediation – level 2 support

· Configuring and responding to monitoring/alerts

· Performing product patching/upgrades

· Supporting OS patching (health-checks)

· Ownership and implementation of DR plans/testing

· Supporting new builds

· Contributing to product roadmaps, future strategy

· Vendor liaison

· Log monitoring & analysis

· Proactive incident & problem management

· Data consistency and time synchronization monitoring

· Applying bug-fixes

· Provide on-call cover for support during non-business hours

Your skills and experience

· Strong Novell eDirectory, and Novell Access Manager (hands-on) experience is preferred

· Experience and strong understanding of federation and SSO mechanisms

· Experience working with SAML

· Experience working with Web Services (SOAP, REST)

· LDAP skills (Novell eDir) along would be an additional advantage

· UNIX SA skills preferred

· Understanding of highly available application architectures, including network and application load balancing and failover

· Experience of working in similar production application support role

· Structured and methodical in problem solving

· A strong disposition to take responsibility and to lead by example.

· Ability to draw on experience to question and challenge existing or proposed solutions

· An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

· Organised with good attention to detail with a natural ability to prioritise workload and objectives.

· Banking or Finance related business experience desirable.

Essential skills

· BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or experience.

· CISSP or equivalent security certification, or at least 3-5 years experience working in a security or IAM related role

· Proven experience and longevity in Information Technology supporting complex projects involving significant IAM infrastructure requirements.

· Significant experience with integration, migration and communication issues among applications, databases and technology platforms.

· Broad knowledge of diverse infrastructure technologies, including various distributed server hardware platforms, operating systems, system software and tools.

· Broad understanding of the following technologies and their inter-operability (Unix, Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL Server, WebSphere, TPC/IP, SAN Storage, Server Virtualization, Cisco network & voice hardware & OS, etc.).

· Ability to quickly grasp new technology concepts, new infrastructure components and their impact on the overall infrastructure topology.

· Extensive working knowledge of how to translate business and application development needs into infrastructure requirements.

· Ability to drive and follow through on significant number of activities while delegating specific technical decisions or problem resolution to subject matter experts within each technical discipline.

· Ability to research, recommend and be accountable for alternative actions for problem resolution engaging the appropriate internal or external subject matter experts.

· Thorough understanding of Disaster Recovery and contingency planning requirements.

· Familiarity with ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management
