Title: SENIOR DBA (Oracle)
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior DBA (Oracle) role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and performance of Database Managed Service (DbmS) platform and customer databases.
Specific Database duties include:
? Database support for customer base and partners.
? Administration,maintenance,and control of database optimization,configuration,process scheduling,capacity,security, errors,and execution of maintenance utilities.
? Providing technical expertise for project design and implementation.
? Troubleshoot any Oracle DbmS platform or service issues.
? Build a comprehensive set of DbmS operational support documents.
Responsibilities also included:
? Continued Lifecycle and Service improvement of the DBMS platform and services.
?On call support 24 x 7
The Senior DBA (Oracle) will apply proven communication,analytical,and problem-solving skills to help identify,communicate,and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Required Technical Skills, Qualification and Experience:
?University degree in computer science or software engineering or 5+ year’s equivalent work.
?Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial SQL DBA roles.
?Certification in Oracle
?Prefer experience with other Oracle products,such as Oracle Fusion Middleware,Web logic,and Java.
?Experience with other Databases highly regarded
?Formal English qualification – Excellent written and spoken English required.
?ITIL V3 Certified - desired
?Experience with 24x7 Production systems
?Knowledge of typical Service Desk processes and tools.
?Procedure and Reporting Documentation creation and management
?Team Leader or Line Manager Experience – desired.
