Job Description:
This is a NCE role in GSP group, a major services group within Cisco.
Role & Responsibilities:
-Support the development and delivery of Cisco Advanced Services Optimization deliverables
- Performs analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.
- Performs analysis of highly complex network designs.
- Builds simulated networks in test labs to resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues.
The NCE may perform any of the following components of the role breakdown depending on specific engagements.
Transactional Projects Project Engineering role:
- Conduct Network Assessment, develop remediation plans
- Generates standard project documentation including Customer Requirements Documents, High Level Design, Low-Level designs or detailed test plan for highly complex networks.
- Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for highly complex networks.
- Plans and executes highly complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity.
- Provide informal knowledge training on technical topics or related deliverables Proactive Service & Support:
- In support of Cisco Advanced Services NOS delivery lead Software Strategy, Proactive Software Recommendations and periodic critical defect analysis reviews
- Conduct Network, platform and technology stability audits
- Develop Network Improvement Plans Reactive Service & Support: - Troubleshoots and resolves highly complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies.
- Acts as a focal point for highly complex network problem resolution. Advanced Services Technology Specialization Teams:
- Provides training to other NCE's as well as real-time escalation response for support issues.
- Owns responsibility for driving regional Advanced Services projects.
Technical Skills :
In-depth knowledge in Mobility Technology as well as in ONE of the following:
？ LTE-EPC Network (PGW/SGW/SAEGW/MME )
？ CDMA2000 PDSN/HA/HSGW
？ WCDMA GGSN/SGSN
？ PCC Framework
？ SP WiFi/WiFi
？ SmallCellFemto
Typically requires Bachelor of Science, Computer Science , or University degree equivalent.
Plus 8 years experience in network service engineering or telecommunications support environment or equivalent military experience.
