Advanced Specialist Quality Control

Employment – full time

Tasks

To manage the overall problem landscape for the engine plant, to ensure that top and sub-level problem resolution targets are achieved in support of overall engine target performance

Key Responsibilities

- Resource Management (manage, motivate and develop the Quality Control group to ensure that optimum performance, efficiency and effectiveness of the department are achieved and that business strategy is implemented)

- Quality (to assist and advise process owners and other stakeholders in the use of appropriate tools and techniques for process improvement and optimization, to identify good / benchmark practices both internally and externally to the BMW Group and BMW Brilliance Automotive and to implement where appropriate.

- To target and organize event/criticality-driven process audits as part of the process improvement /target achievement processes

- Quality (As plant-responsible for the problem resolution process to ensure it's adherence

- To provide necessary training also coaching and support where improvement opportunities are identified)

- Reporting (to provide accurate, relevant and timely reports reflecting the overall quality landscape, the actual status vs. plan and the status of improvement actions which are used as a basis for identifying and steering further improvement actions)

- IT-/System Key user for all relevant systems within the scope of operation, including PQM, QUISS and QSStat

Qualifications

- University degree / graduated in engineering (automotive/engine)

- Expert knowledge of quality management systems, process management, the use of quality tools, relevant standards such as ISO9000, TS16949, EFQM Excellence Model and lean systems

- Up-to-date knowledge of advancements in quality thinking and approaches

- Thorough understanding of business targets and objectives

- Highly developed communication skills

- Team and individual development, management and leadership

- Project management skills

- Awareness of health, safety and environmental issues relevant to the area of responsibility

- Experience of working both cross-function and internationally

- English and German language skills

- Knowledge of BMW and BMW Brilliance Automotive China business processes, 1-3 years
