Working in the Asia-Pacific Tax IT Service Delivery team, the Senior Application Developer takes business requirements and technical architectures and translates these into solutions.

This includes directly responsible for the detailed design of a solution, its subsequent build, and its support throughout the full life-cycle of testing and deployment, until the point that Infrastructure & Operations take over day-to-day operational support.

The Senior Application Developer is responsible for technical deliverables such as technical design and development/coding/programming including documentation of computer systems and or programs for assigned projects. Senior Application Developer is responsible for translating requirements and Design and Solution Architecture deliverables into detailed Solutions Design Documents (design specifications), producing high quality application development/engineering deliverables in accordance with the project timeline, and building and unit testing the delivered computer system or program.

Responsibilities:

? Applies judgment in implementing application development/Application Engineering methodologies, processes, and practices to specific requirements of projects/programs which may include product design Application Engineering, information security, code maintainability and reliability
? Sound analytical skills and problem solving skills needed to manage multiple technical challenges simultaneously per each project assigned when needed
? Takes accountability for quality technical deliverables to agreed schedule and estimates
? Ability to convert business and technical requirements into an appropriate technical solution
? Proactively identifies and addresses technical strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
? Proactively anticipates project issues before they occur; defines the problem; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify solutions; selects and implements most appropriate solution raising issues to appropriate lead role
? Technical competency in designing, developing, and debugging solutions
? Timely creation of appropriate technical artifacts e.g. solution design documents
? Interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as a contributing member of virtual teams that deliver quality services
? Knowledge of organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate technical team
? Familiar with supporting peer teams and responsibilities such as infrastructure , operations, enterprise architecture, info-security
? Possesses an understanding of IT Services: service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure
? Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on service offerings and products provided by IT
? Is part of a Service Delivery team; works with Project Managers, Team Leader and Technical Leads to resolve issues which arise within project; supports and monitors project’s progress
? Obtains necessary supervision and support to ensure quality, adherence to Application Engineering methodologies, standards, leading practices, budgets, and timelines are met
? Lends expertise to internal IT teams and task forces as well as other IT projects/programs
? Maintains effective and consistent communication within the team, with peers and leaders across own and other teams.
? Ability to coach and mentor peers and other team members as part of embedding a high performing culture
? Ability to challenge constructively and ensure that the broader IT and firm strategy is taken into consideration when designing and developing solutions

Requirements:

? Bachelor degree in relevant disciplines
? 6 to 8 years’ experience in building, integrating & delivering solutions
? Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
? Experience in leading project Application Engineering sub-teams is advantageous

? Programming Languages (mandatory): VB.Net 2.0, SQL Server 2000 and above, C#,
? Core Standards: Web Layer Development – Accessibility (advantageous)
? API/Code/Component Library (advantageous): Infragistics NetAdvantage for .NET 2009 Vol2, Aspose.Total for .NET Q2 2009, Telerik UI Controls 2011.1.315
? Development Frameworks: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.0 (mandatory), Microsoft SharePoint 2010 (advantageous), Java(J2EE) v1.5 (advantageous)
? Configuration/Deployment Management: Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010 (mandatory)
? IDE: Visual Studio 2008 and 2010 (mandatory), Eclipse v3.4 (advantageous), Allround PL/SQL Developer v7.1.5.13 (advantageous)
? Programming/software development (PROG)
? Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the competency principles and practices, including the ability to coach and teach.
? Guide teams to adapt and apply concepts, principles and tools related to the competency area on multiple or concurrent complex projects / activities.
? Conceptualize and translate lessons learned into relevant principles and practices for EY ITS knowledge repositories.
? Technical Specialism (TECH)
? Advanced technical knowledge in technology specialty area with Intermediate knowledge of complementing infrastructures.
? Maintains knowledge of specific technical specialism, provides detailed advice regarding their application and executes specialized tasks.
? The specialism can be any area of information or communication technology, technique, method, product or application area.
? Responsible for defining global technology standards with Enterprise Architecture
