Job Summary
The contracted engineering service company in Shanghai would help the team in Cupertino to
coordinate and execute test plans at FXLH and BYD. The main activities they will assist in are
SAR data collection and free-space/phantom OTA testing. They will ensure unit selection,
device setup, test instrument setup and calibration, data accuracy, visualization and report
their findings to the respective Apple DRI.
Job Description
The detailed job responsibilities for the initiatives that they will help support are as follows,
SAR Data Collection
- Coordinate the acquisition of mini build units
- Facilitate SAR measurements at a cSAR station
- Monitor fidelity of test and accuracy of collected data, ensure best practices are being
followed by the CM IDL operators
- Compile, process and report to DRIs to help make tuner table decisions
- Measure FS TRP and efficiency of SAR tested units to ensure performance
- Maintain and validate performance of the cSAR test station between builds
- Help acquire SAR data for non-build related, design activities
- Debug device and process as required
Free-Space and Phantom OTA Performance TestingHelp identify units across the wireless performance distribution (low, mean and high) from
each build
- Work with in-region RF and System EPMs regarding availability of units of interest
- Ensure units get sent to an offline Zephyr station where units are to be tested for FS and
in phantom grip TRP/efficiency performance
