1.0    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

-Grinding and honing process development and improvement

- Problem solving, such as grinding burns, grinding quality, grinding cycle time, etc.

- Tooling design for grinding and honing - Lead, support and implement continuous improvement projects

2.0 KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

2.1    Education

           -   Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

2.2       Knowledge / Skills

• Rich knowledge of  the optimal grinding cycle implementation

• Rich knowledge of NC program and HMI of grinding machine.

• Rich knowledge of grinding and honing process improvement

• Rich knowledge of abrasives, such as wheels and honing stones

• Outstanding problem-solving skills

• Good coordination and communication skills

• Expertise in tooling design and validation

• Self-driven personality and strong business focus

• Good knowledge of process capability

• Good knowledge of QMS knowledge

• Good command of both written and spoken English

• Good command of PC skills

  2.3    Specific Experience

   

• Min 8 years experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in CNC-machine /Grinding machine / Heat Treatment

• At least 5 years of working experience in the quality and process improvement area

   3.0  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive continuous improvements in the manufacturing operation

• Tooling design for new product release needed.

• Tooling optimization accorofor the continuous improvement

• Focus on the Soft Machining or Hard Machining or Grinding or Heat treatment or Assembly operations.

• Trainer for the assistant engineer

• Be the technical expert in the factory in at least one of above fields.

• Train operators in the improvements that have been achieved.

• Be part of project teams and 6-Sigma improvement teams.

• Be project leader over small projects (not full time).

• Support to project for new machine FAT and application related to grinding or honing

• To work with business development to understand customer special needs, gather their requirements, and provide functional solutions

• Support factory production in quality issue related to grinding or honing process

• QMS document such as PFC PFMEA WIP management
