Global Vendor Management Officer (GVMO)

Global Vendor management is the process that empowers an organization to take appropriate measures for controlling cost, reducing potential risks related to vendors, ensuring excellent service deliverability and deriving value from vendors in the long-run. This includes, gauging the quality of work, managing relationships in case of multiple vendors, evaluating performance by setting organizational standards, and ensuring that the payments are always made on time.

Responsibility:

Contract management

• Understanding of the contract and the obligations from the vendor with respect to service delivery
• The contract will be managed centrally and audited for compliance, recommendations on invoking the service delivery penal clauses by the vendor management team
• Change requests being implemented could have an impact on the contract terms, an understanding of what the change involves

Performance management

• Morning performance against SLA, KPI and CPIs via report outs from the digital command console
• Point of contact to work with Global Process Owner
• Review change requests received

Financial management

• Invoice validation and putting audit processes in place to confirm services provided against multiple sources
• Benchmarking costs and periodic discussions with the vendor on the results
• Working with GDS Finance on the pricing of new services

Relationship management

• An account management framework to define the frequency, audience and agenda of each connect
• Preparation for and documentation of each of the connects
• Driving action items from the connects to closure

Transformation management

• Managing the vendor’s transformation journey

People Profile

1. Finance background in BPO/SSC more than 10 years

2. English language ability since it is a global role

3. Strong self-discipline
