职位描述

Job Description:

·Responsible for managing the successful delivery of the company’s IT services to a specific sites within China to ensure the smooth running of the company’s technical infrastructure and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimal.

·The role will include managing any technical queries as well as undertaking projects as and when required. In order for this to be successfully completed you must be an organised, dedicated and pro-active person who can prioritise your workload and consistently deliver accurate information and services within strict timescales.

·Responsible for supporting the environment performing administration duties, such as computer installations, monitoring backups, account management, asset tracking, printer configuration and Service desk function. The role will also require the person to be hands to a high level to ensure the smooth support of users within the Region.

·Responsible for the design, implementation and support of Information systems to a specific site/sites. Writes procedure documents, implements and tracks progress on projects and key activities. Responsibilities include recruiting, evaluating and terminating staff. Work with Global IT Services Manager and local management on Capital/Operational budgets.


Key responsibilities:

·Providing support for users within the China region plus other sites in region which may require support

·Provide team leadership to the IT Support Team for the region

·Ensure all IT services are maintained to a high level of availability

·Take ownership and responsibility of helpdesk calls until closed or escalated – maintain high quality of helpdesk entries including accurate and detailed notes, category, etc

·Comfortable in handling and resolving IT issues from level 1 right through to level 3 troubleshooting

·Provide IT guidance and support to users as and when called upon

·Ensure all IT SOPs are followed by you and your team to deliver an IT service in accordance with the regulations Governing our business, update regional SOPs as required

·Design, install, maintain regional IT network, telecoms (Fixed & Wireless), wiring to XXX standards, in conjunction with Enterprise team and local business units.

·Design, install and maintain servers and workstations to XXX standards in conjunction with other business units and IT teams.

·Motivate, lead and manage a team responsible for administration duties such as asset tracking, network account creation and deletion, in conjunction with IT Security policy.

·Report any known failures or pre-empted failures of the IT service to the local business managers and Global IT Services Manager, which are likely to impact the business

·Continuous improvement of IT support to our internal users including measurement of Key performance indicators.

·Maintain control of the IT requests and queries logged via the IT Support Help Desk in accordance to the priorities set and the associated SLA’s by holding regular meetings with IT Support Technicians to ensure priorities and targets are being met.

·Assess and prioritise IT Support tasks for the Team outside of those logged via the Help Desk to ensure they are controlled and business needs are met to the timescales expected.

·Assess and prioritise Projects and Key Activities for the local IT team to ensure that they are implemented within the desired time scale and budget.

·Ensure all IT service systems are successfully archived to the requirements and frequency of the associated SOP, that all archive media are controlled and stored securely in fire resistant containers both on site and off site, that data can be retrieved and restored in a time frame and to the satisfaction of the company’s business requirements


Key skills:

·Previous experience of occupying a IT Senior Engineer/supervisory role with a minimum of 2+ years tracked record

·Proven experience in managing networks with upwards of 200+ users

·Proven experience of developing project planning and implementation.

·Experience in setting up, maintaining and working in a professional and structured methodology aligned to the ISO:9001 standard

·Strong verbal and written communication skills including English

·PC/Server hardware/Maintenance

·Microsoft Server 2003/2008 and Exchange Server administration

·Preferable experience with Symantec Backup Exec and SEP solutions

·Good understanding of internet technologies (WWW /FTP /EMAIL / TCP/IP / VPN)

·Proven experience in complex technical issues, with ability to diagnose to root cause.

·Good initiative, acts quickly and independently when the situation demands it, sees a need and takes appropriate action without being prompted or reminded.

·Demonstrates commitment to shared team goals, fulfils responsibility to the team by carrying out equal share of work, and balances personnel interest with needs of the team.

·Would be advantageous to have proven experience with the setting up and management of Microsoft Server Level and ESX software and hardware environments

·Good general knowledge of network equipment – cabling/switches/routers/firewalls

·Good understanding of Microsoft core technologies Active Directory/TFS/SQL/Exchange

·Excellent understanding of Virtual Server technologies – (VMware)


Person specification:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior IT engineer/lead with a proven track record within this field of expertise. A team player who can successfully add real value to all aspects of the company’s IT Support from start to finish. Good interpersonal skills are essential as well as having the ability to communicate at all levels.
