JOB DESCRIPTION

In alignment with the Purchasing Commodity, R&D, Supplier Quality Assurance of Business Units, plus other relevant Functions, for the family classes under his/her responsibility

Manage the Suppliers Panel:

• introducing new Suppliers, when required, in line with defined strategies

• granting the release of new Supplier technologies and new plants

• update the existing supplier status in cooperation with Commodity Specialist

Contribute to Sourcing Committee decisions for new awarding

Grant the APQP process closure until the PPAP approval, through the functional operative support of Supplier Development Engineers in Matrix Organization (valid only for Commodity Electrical)

Lead the relevant Improvement Programs for top offender Suppliers

Maintain the knowledge within his/her area of responsibilities updating the Lessons Learnt coming from current problems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Within his/her Commodity:

Coordinate Process Audits activities within the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Community

Be“One-voice”towards Suppliers across all involved Business Units 

Guarantee the Supplier capability

Maintain and develop the competencies within the involved SQA network

Validate the 8D reports already approved by the Plant for Customer defects, also implementing an Experience capitalization process

Negotiate Quality Specifications with Suppliers

Organize and lead regular Quality Management Meeting also performing regular technical visits to Suppliers for continuous development

Grant Supplier use of state of the art processes

Lead new Suppliers / plant / Supplier technologies evaluation including Potential audit execution

Perform regular technical Suppliers visits to guarantee that the state of the art, the relevant Lessons Learnt and  best practices are implemented within Suppliers processes

Actively participate to the Commodity strategy update in line with the Purchasing Commodity

Actively support R&D for the definition/ introduction and launch of new technology

Drive escalation process in case of major and/or cross Business Units Quality issues

Support Business Units to organize and lead technical meetings, drawing/specifications reviews with Suppliers, when required

Periodically monitor the supplier Quality performances, leading crash programs towards Top Offenders

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCES

Education (school / specialization)

Bachelor degree or above in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / Physics or equivalent

Languages levels (MT / English….)

Fluent in English, additional language is preferred

Key Experiences / Seniority

Minimum 5 years in Quality fields (including process audit) with exposure to automotive Quality standards

Good knowledge of production processes for PCBA/ semiconductors or connectors/ LCD or Displays

Frequent usage of MS Office

Better to have: VDA 6.3 licence

Leadership/ Managerial Skills

Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary and worldwide based team

Ability to meet critical deadlines

Ability to think independently, good communications skills, self-initiative, leadership and high energy to deliver
