FUNCTION OVERVIEW
Dalian GPU (Global Proofing Utility) is under Global Finance, performing proofing compliance with Balance Sheet Substantiation Directive for APAC country. GPU’s remit includes:
? Building a robust balance sheet substantiation control infrastructure
? Providing a centralized strategic site for balance sheet substantiation
? Driving a standard process across global finance strategic site

Job Purpose:
Within the GPU department, this position will work in a team environment and fill the role of Fin Acct Analyst 4.

Job Background/context:
The GPU is responsible for the daily reconciliation and monthly proofing according to Balance Sheet Substantiation Directive, the team escalate risky case according to the escalation Matrix, determine root causes of proofing items and corrective action plans to address issues, ensure exception items are closed on a timely basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Overall responsibility is for the daily reconciliation and monthly proofing control and improvement according to Balance Sheet Substantiation Directive.
? Escalate risky case according to the escalation Matrix.
? Determine root causes of proofing items and corrective action plans to address issues.
? Ensure exception items are closed on a timely basis.
? Ensure adherence of pre-defined risk control practices throughout reconciliation and proofing process.
? Work with system support to improve process and address operational issues.
? Ensure audit preparedness in all aspects of reconciliation and proofing for both internal and external audits & reviews
? Understand how duties relate with others in the unit and how the unit integrates with others in accomplishing the work of the function.
? Work on and follow up project or migration with global finance or countries.
? Business Analysis from Balance Sheet Substantiation Directive perspective to ensure proper proofing process is built.
? Work closely with business to understand the process flows and promote proofing standardization and automation.
? Ensure the key controls associated to proofing are maintained and implement new controls consist with Balance Sheet Substantiation Directive.
? Work on delivering process improvements as part of the proofing process streamlining.
? Understand the GPU strategy to help with future initiatives and give enough focus to support respective business in GPU.






REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge/Experience:
? Experience in accounting process control for more than 10 years.
? Good project management experience for more than 8 years.
? Must have a good understanding of accounting and process.
? Must use knowledge to resolve difficult proofing issues.
? Fluent English, both oral and writing.
? Must have the ability to multi-task by taking on extra ad-hoc tasks without letting the day-to-day tasks suffer.
? Strong investigative and analytical skills.
? Ability to work independently within the unit.
