Overall
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling the organizations products and/or services by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects. This senior level sales position requires several years of experience and is characterized by a sustained record of sales achievement and a complete knowledge of the organization’s policies, products, and/or services
Territory
Mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan (Maybe subject to review and change).
Essential Functions/Duties:
? Responsible for managing sales team in China to ensure sales personnel are used appropriately and efficiently utilized to maximize productivity. Develop and coach sales team to improve invidiual skills and enhance team performance.
? Develop and execute growth strategy plans for the region and accounts to increase market penetration
? Provide competitive and market intelligence by identifying gaps in AMOT’s product and marketing mix (products, prices, distribution, brochures)
? Manage customer and channel relationship by provide direct key account management for key accounts
? Train customers and end-users whenever appropriate about our product offering
? Meet/Exceed sales, margin and growth targets for region and accounts
? Negotiate selling prices that exceed or as a minimum meet Company margin, growth and volume targets.
? Anticipate and analyze customer (current & future trends) needs
? Anticipate competitive threats and take action to mitigate or eliminate such threats
? Forecast sales, bookings and standard gross margin targets in the designated territory annually and monthly/quarterly as required.
? Launch new products in territories and to managed accounts
? Maintain a sound knowledge of AMOT technology and principles.
? Coordinate efforts with operations, customer service and other functional departments to assure quick resolutions to customer-impacting issues.
Additional Functions/Duties:
? Interact constructively and well with others across functional lines of responsibility as necessary.
? Travel within the region as required in support of key accounts sales strategy and tactics.
? Follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
? Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
? Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering, Business or related field; or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; five years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional work related coursework or certifications a plus.
? Minimum Five (5) years’ experience selling industrial products within the Marine, Power, and industrial market space
? Ability to identify the Company’s commercial and technical position for a proposal and closely follow this to order conversion.
? International sales experience (minimum 3 years with proven track record).
? Key account management experience.
? Must be fluent in Chinese, English and additional foreign languages of relevant counties would be a distinct advantage.
? Must have good analytical, communication and negotiation skills
? Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
? Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
? Excellent project management, analytical and organizational skills.
? CRM experience a plus
? Solid presentation skills including the ability to explain complex technologies and product features.
? Good team player, Tenancious and diligent, Highly self-motivated.
Education Minimum Requirements/Equivalent:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in Business or related field; or equivalent. Engineering qualification is pre-requisite.
Working Conditions:
Based in territory with approximately 70% of time travelling. Potentially some time globally. Amount of travel per year is not guaranteed.Must be eligible for employment in base territory and comply with any national requirements.
Internal/External Contacts:
AMOT Leadership Team, all AMOT employees, particularly those involved with sales and marketing. Externally, this position will interact with customers.
