Purpose of your role
The position is for an experienced front end senior developer/specialist. The candidate should be an expert in responsive web technologies specifically HTML5 ,CSS3 , java script , responsive web / mobile web development. The candidate should be able to implement html pages/templates using the front end framework. The role requires detailed understanding of front end development technical stack like nodejs/grunt/webpack to compile the source code. The project uses Fidelity defined software development methodologies (FSDM).
The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end development of individual modules within the application which would involve interaction with the business and system analysts for understanding the requirements followed by design, development and unit testing of the software. The candidate is expected to have fluent oral/reading Japanese ability and English skill.
The candidate is expected to display professional ethics in his/her approach to work and exhibit a high level ownership within a demanding working environment.
Key Responsibilities
? Assume complete execution responsibility of small size project independently
? Understand business requirements through direct interaction and define the scope of work
? Design and development of the J2EE based web application on Websphere
? Procedural development responsive web design.
? Ensure that work performed within the group is supportable and completed within the overall IT strategy of FIL
? Ensure that work is completed to a sufficient level of quality
? Ensure adherence to change management processes and assist in facilitating the ongoing review and enhancement of these processes.
? Works under minimal supervision to meet goals set by management
? Maintain Quality documents and follow the process defied for development
Experience and Qualifications Required
? Essential skills
? At least 3 years Javascript/HTML5/CSS development experience in a commercial environment
? Practical experience or understanding of front end and mobile web design and development.
? Experience on standard application servers like Websphere
? Experience on standard IDE like Sublime Text.
? Experience on version control tools like SVN or GitHub
? Experience on some tools to ensure code quality like fisheye and sonar.
? English and Mandarin language proficiency; Japanese language capabilities also desirable
? Desirable skills
? Experience & good understanding of full development life cycle
? Experience on production support
? Behavioural
? Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
? The successful candidate must be highly motivated, fast learner, flexible, willing to assume responsibility, and deliver quality work on time
