Purpose of your role
The role covers small projects to help develop the strategy, infrastructure, engineering and operational environment for the Virtualisation Core Platform as well as BAU functions.
The main technology components used within the team to provide these services are as follows:
1.VMware vCenter
2. VMware ESXi
3.vRealize Automation & vRealize Orchestrator
4. VMware vRealize Operations Manager and Log Insight
5.vSAN and NSX
Essential skills
1.Excellent “hands on” working knowledge of VMware technologies, Inc. VMware vSphere 5.x, 6.x and vCenter.
2. Working knowledge of Programming experience with PowerShell, Power CLI, JavaScript
3.Knowledge of HP ProLiant/ Dell R7x class servers.
4. Working knowledge of VDI implementations,Citrix technologies
5. Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, vCloud Air
6. Strong experience of Network / server monitoring and capacity planning tools/storage solutions
7.Good skills of spoken and written English and communication skills.
