Function:

To conceive, plan, coordinate, develop, qualify and implement assembly processes that meet FCI's costs and capacity objective against customer requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to all aspects related to the implementation (materials, tooling, equipment, etc.), operability and performance of new or existing Assembly processes, their modifications and related documentation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

3. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

4. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

5. Should have knowledge and skills using:

· Design software (Pro-Engineer)

· Development software (Pro-E Mechanica)

· Internet software

· Project Management software (Microsoft Project)

· Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel)

· Word Processing software (Microsoft Word)

· Presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint)

6. Ability to communicate and relate with assembly process engineers in each region of the world.

7. Demonstrated skill and knowledge to train individuals and teams.

8. Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision and provide updates on project status where issues or problems can be reviewed, discussed and resolved.

9. Ability to provide technical design and process information relating to product manufacturability, process and design costs, process risk assessment and product capability assessment.

Capable of generating process specifications, specifically assembly and vision machine specifications that become the basis for purchasing machine and equipment with outside
