Client Details

Our client is a well-established home appliances OEM with global customer base. Product expertise ranges from vacuum cleaners, water filters, personal care and kitchen appliances etc. Due to their continuous growth they are now looking for an Engineering Director to join their Shenzhen facility.


Description

Reporting to COO, you would oversee and manage the growth, productivity, and technical capabilities of the engineering team. You will be responsible for the technical and professional development of engineers, proactively contributing to the strategic direction of the company, growing new and existing clients, and the quality of the company's services and deliverables. You would be the high level window for customer contact and escalation level in case of problems. You will technically develop the relevant engineering areas in order to keep up with technology and pulse of time, responsible for all ISO processes related to reporting areas, review manpower development and ensure efficiency in all engineering areas, and execute annual performance review for all direct subordinates and ensure performance reviews below this level. You will also ensure the cross functional cooperation to achieve company goals and collaborate with leadership team to create business plans and proposals.


Profile

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, you should demonstrate track record of success in development and engineering in a manufacturing environment with at least 10 years experience on managerial positions. You should have a track record of developing products from inception to production with multi-disciplinary teams along with a strong knowledge of injection molding and plastics. You should have strong analytical skills, be able to form and develop teams and strong ability in efficiency monitoring in technical teams. You should have effective interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as the flexibility and adaptability of approach. Excellent communication in English and Mandarin with all levels required.
