Job Description:
? Support DJASO Compliance Supervisor, to establish and manage the designated objectives, goals and KPI's, and report progress periodically to the DJASO Compliance Supervisor, Chemical Compliance Manager DJE and/or DJASO QA & Compliance Manager if required.
? Work proactively with performance results to ensure the supplier and product compliance with regards to chemicals requirements and to drive continuous improvement programs for Dorel Juvenile Global Markets:
? Implement documented chemical compliance procedures for complete products, components or raw materials as part of the product development process as well ongoing product quality assurance process. E.g. BOM, periodic test plans, sample submittal and tracking, non-conformance alerts and assessments, and CMS Audit corrective action plan follow-up etc.
? Ensure all chemical requirements are fully understood and implemented by the relevant Pillars and suppliers etc. through, dedicated trainings, impact assessment of amendments, document management, risk analysis and professional recommendations.
? Support product and price development by establishing a database of materials, components, suppliers, sub-suppliers and subcontractors with regards to chemical compliance, risk and performance.
? Establish and maintaining a business relationship with external 3rd party test labs, with regards to Dorel requirements, training etc.
? Plan and implement product and supplier audits in accordance with DJASO and Dorel Juvenile Global Markets Chemical Compliance strategy.
? Ensure Chemical compliance performance information is readily uploaded & available in the relevant common databases. E.g. Team space etc.
? Establish relationships with supplier’s key personnel, DJASO peer team members and DOREL Juvenile Global Markets and be a contact window for Chemical Compliance.
? Any other tasks related to Chemical Compliance as set by the Compliance Supervisor or QA & Compliance Manager.
? Process implementation and integration – Support the Compliance Supervisor to develop, implement and maintain common working processes and procedures within DJASO and the Compliance Team.
? Performance management – Support the Compliance Supervisor to establish the Chemical Compliance Coordinators goals and objectives, arrange periodic reviews with the Compliance Supervisor and take corrective actions to ensure fulfilment.
? Personnel development – Support the Compliance Supervisor to identify and develop resources needed to support current & future business needs.
? Communication and internal conflict resolution – Maintain good communication and a strong working relationship within the Team, internally within DJASO, Dorel Juvenile Global Markets and externally with suppliers and customer representatives.
? Cost control – Ensure execution of cost control and continuously optimize costs etc. in accordance DJASO Policies.
Job Requirement:
1. College Degree or above in Chemistry or related
2. Experience with Juvenile Products, Toys etc. is preferred
3. Knowledge of chemicals, lab testing, EU laws, REACH, ROHs, US laws, JPMA, CPSIA, chemical regulations, plastic materials, paint materials, coatings.
4. Over 3-years working experience in Chemical compliance related field is a must.
5. Good understanding and working experience in Chemical compliance.
6. Working experience in Quality related field is preferred
7. Proficient in English reading and writing. Good spoken English desired
8. Knowledgeable in the use of the Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
