Reports to: Manager, Sourcing and Supplier Management

Position overview

Reporting to Manger, Sourcing and Supplier Management within Keurig Green Mountain’s Appliance Sourcing organization, this position is responsible for assisting with Keurig’s sourcing activities for brewers/beverage delivery system within the Asian region. The primary objective is to assist in executing sourcing strategies within the supply base and to drive toward lowest total cost solutions that impact bottom-line profitability at Keurig. Candidates must have experience with Asian sourcing and working under the guidance of a US based global sourcing team. Expertise in sourcing the following categories is desired:

§ Electronic Components – Active and passive components, PCB’s, LCD Touch Panels

§ Electro-Mechanical Components – Motors, Fans, Pumps, Valves, Sensors, Switches.

What you will do:

§ Identify, audit, develop suppliers and maintain supplier relationship in the Asia Region in order to support the development of the Asia contract manufacturers.

§ Coordinate with local, regional and global resources to develop and execute sourcing strategy.

§ Closely cooperate with relevant New Product Development Sourcing and Global Sourcing to help execute requirements within the Contract Manufacturing purchasing offices.

§ Cooperate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Planning departments in the qualification and ongoing development of suppliers.

§ Create, review and negotiate contracts to ensure business objectives and contract requirement/terms are met and communicate negotiations and results to stakeholders.

§ Analyze components’ cost breakdown and carry out comprehensive price negotiation under the guidance of sourcing manager.

§ Continually identifies and implements new opportunities for Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance and proactively tracks progress toward these objectives

§ Develop and manage supplier relationship from sample to mass production in alignment with New Product Development Sourcing.

§ Manages successful suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and zero defect quality within the cost parameters per the marketing plan.

§ Assists sourcing manager with supplier rationalizations and segmentation initiatives and proactively reviews supplier performance. Establish metrics for and conduct supplier performance evaluations with corrective action requirements and productivity targets.

§ Provides rigorous analysis of spend data and market trends and dynamics to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives within designated spend categories.

What you must have:

§ Bachelor degree or above in business, logistics or engineering.

§ At least 5 years of experience in sourcing/purchasing/Supply Chain management in a global company

§ Effective written and spoken communication skills in English

§ Availability to travel across China and Southeast Asia in short notice

§ Knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical

§ Knowledge of the local Asian markets and their logistic landscape (packaging, import-export, custom duties/ taxes).

§ Knowledge of financial accounting, strategic sourcing, and supplier management concepts

§ Proficient with managing and understanding cross-cultural business practices.

§ Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

§ Technology-savvy to leverage e-Sourcing tools, such as: Oracle, SAP, and/or Ariba

§ Proficient with Business Analytics/Reporting Tools, such as: Business Objects, Seibel Analytics

§ Strong experience in cost breakdown analysis

§ Strong negotiations and communication skills (both oral and written)

§ Team player with good interpersonal skills

§ High integrity, reliability and honesty

§ Independence and be able to work under a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive global environment

§ Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills to manage and resolve highly complex business issues

§ Excellent project management skills
