Working with Sourcing, your mission is to build product that delivers end to end value, quality and alignment to our brand principles for the guest through our ethical and responsible sourcing practices.

As a member of the team, your primary functions are to achieve TSS financial plans by partnering with Headquarter (HQ) counterparts and business partners through product life cycle management for assigned categories and geographic markets.   

As a Sr. Merchandiser, your principle roles and responsibilities will be:

• Manage and coach vendors throughout product design and development to ensure risk assessment and capacity planning are focused, Vendor Matrixes and planning are aligned with merchandising strategies, and new business opportunities are identified.
• Conduct costing & negotiation with all components and market intelligence analyzed to drive optimal results.
• Manage vendor execution and collaborate with cross functional teams for any potential issue resolutions and ensure sourcing cycle is followed responsibly and ethically.
• Support post shipment issues, e.g. claim resolution and settlement.
• Establish and maintain vendor relations for continuous elevation of supply chain; drive optimal sourcing solutions to support brand/merchandising strategy.
• Demonstrate commitment to Target Values, being inclusive and upholding an ethical culture for Target business and supply chain.

About you:

Minimum Requirements:

• 4 year University/College degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years or more of sourcing and/or merchandising experience
• Knowledge of required products and sourcing operations
• Strong ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders under multiple cultural background and to influence without authority
• Fluent English communication
• Strong problem solving, negotiation, planning & organizational skills
• Self-driven and self-motivated approach
• Willing to travel

Desired Requirements:

• Experience with  well-known brand Buying Offices from US and European retailors
