Day to Day Responsibilities:
Project coordination and operation management
Work with program manager to execute project strategy
Leading new product qualification and migration to mass production
Work with QA to define/improve key attributes for quality of customer
Coordinate project and manufacturing site activities
Provide project leadership for processes integration – including feasibility studies, planning, project coordination
Link with commercial team, PE on new product qualification and mass production ramping up
Provide leadership in problem solving, and technical expertise, to ensure timely resolution of short-term equipment issues, and higher level troubleshooting
Provide direction to other technicians, coaches junior engineers, and provides guidance to maintenance personnel
Provide general engineering and manufacturing skills and knowledge (understand theories and fundamentals), capable of leading projects and get to root cause of issues, and put permanent solutions in place
Recommend and implement permanent solutions to long term performance issues, and improve existing as well as new technologies
Develop and lead areas of the manufacturing and/or technical roadmap
Identify, justify, and implement cost reduction, capacity enhancement, capital equipment and other improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Education & Experience: BS or Higher; Mechanical Engineering
Required Skills & Experience:
2+ years of engineering experience
Project management skills
Fluent English is a must
Basic statistics and reporting capability
Significant experience communicating effectively with internal and external customers
Broad manufacturing and engineering experiences
Project leadership (scope to implementation)
Project and/or manufacturing financial management knowledge
Desired Skills & Experience:
Located in or (willingness to locate to) Jiangmen is a plus
Process skill in KT, 6-Sigma (DMAIC), DOE and MEE (Manufacturing Engineering Excellent)
Experience with glass technology (melting, forming, finishing, coating, etc.)
Glass finishing management and leadership skill
