Company
Our client is leading exhibition in the field of textile, yarns, prints, accessories and leather held twice a year in Paris.
Their exclusive representative office in China is hiring a Business Development Manager to improve their market position and achieve the exhibitor’s growth in the China Market. More specifically, he/she will be in charge of managing relationships with the existing exhibitors in the one hand and recruiting new exhibitors and continue to grow the brand business in the future on the other hand.

He/she shall build key customer relationships and assist them if necessary with all aspects of the exhibition. He/she shall maintain an extensive knowledge of the current market conditions in order to identify business opportunities and present the brand to prospects. He/she shall be capable of evaluating the exhibitor prospect structure, production tools, offer and design capability during selection process exhibitor prospects shall go through to be selected to exhibit.
 
He/she will be working with the Marketing Manager and the Team. Local travelling as well as 2 trips a year to Paris are required.

Responsibility
? Use his/her extensive knowledge of the Chinese textile market to identify prospects for potential new exhibitors and turn this into increased business.
? Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure the opportunities.
? Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging the network which implies business trips in China.
? Identify decision makers within the targeted organizations.
? Design persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential exhibitors to exhibit with them.
? Present to and consult with the senior level management with a view to developing new exhibitors.
? Evaluate the exhibitor prospects and assist them through the selection process. Thus a strong technical expertise of the fabrics is required.
? Grow and enhance relationships with existing exhibitors by presenting new solutions and services.
? Submit progress reports to the Head Office and the senior level management.
? Work with internal colleagues to meet the client’s needs.
? Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on the textile market and creative trends.
? Identify opportunities for campaigns and services that will an increase the awareness of the brand. Submit reports on a timely basis.

Requirement
? BA or above. An equivalent professional qualification on Marketing, Fashion or Textile is essential.
? 8-10 years textile or fashion industry relevant experience, ideally with exposure to fabric manufacturing and industrial exhibition.
? Strong, in-depth and a thorough knowledge of the China textile market and its key players.
? Be able to distinguish and evaluate fabrics and to make decisions based on the criteria given by the brand for its exhibitors’ recruiting
? Manage and drive growth in new customer acquisition across all channels (exhibition, Industrial Event, Industrial Media)
? Fluent English speaking and writing is a must. French would be preferable.
? Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate efficiently internally and externally.
? Research & prospecting Skills for Identification of Customer Needs and recruiting new exhibitors
? Technical skills to evaluate the exhibitor prospects fabric offer.
? Public speaking ability to present the exhibition to industrial players.
? Presentable and professionalism to maintain the high-end Image of the brand.
? A good team player with a collaborative approach and be comfortable with a small scale company culture. 举报 分享
