Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
- Meets or exceeds the company's safety standards
- Has no personal, recordable accidents
- Has no vehicular, chargeable accidents
- Promotes safety through actions and attending safety meetings
- Ensures compliance with local HSE regulations
- Overall responsible for managing the China office including sales organization, customer service and distribution hubs.
- Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and manage sales & marketing resources so as to meet agreed organizational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales (covering relevant areas of operation - eg distribution, administration, manufacturing).
- Ensure legislative adherence to DG regulations and regulations governing WOFE, ensure compliance with local financial standard.
- Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation, and protect and develop the company's brands via suitable PR activities and intellectual property management.
- Provide support and guidance required for the annual audit.
- Overall responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting for short, medium and long-term growth and defensive strategies for the entire China market (including HK & Taiwan).
- Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in business activity and procedures.
- Report management and financial information to the senior management, overall responsible for the monthly flash reports.
- Plan and manage internal communications and awareness of corporate direction, mission, aims and activities.
- Pursues company strategy to support OEMs and Distributors with a strong focus on developing key distribution channels to large end users.
- Develops long-term relationships with customers by focusing on changing needs and economic environment.
- Develop and implement new administrative systems, ensure proper filing systems.
- Oversee the recruitment of new staff, promote staff development and training, day to day guidance and support.
- Support sales people to develop new business, introduce new products/services and calibration culture. Provide guidance on sales solutions and trainings to sales people when needed.
- Manage logistics partner to maintain & augment delivery performance, stock requirements and control costs, responsible for price negotiation with logistics partners.
- Actively follows industry and competitive trends and provides input to managers & team. Shares information across business units and throughout the organization to exploit all opportunities for identifying new account growth and profitability in a market according to the strategy.
- Work and communicates closely with company global team in order to achieve company global goals.
General Requirements:
Eligibility
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, office management, sales & marketing, preferably in an industry environment.
- Experience with managing a small to medium sales organization is preferred.
- Proven ability to make the best decision by evaluating the long term vs. short term benefits, demonstrate good potential of strategic mentality
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills, ability to work with people from different backgrounds and understand the rich variety of work, habits and ethics.
- Knowledge of the targeted industry (Safety, Industrial Hygiene Oil &Gas, marine Industries) including the leaders and strategy or knowledge of spec gas industry will be a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent English (written and oral) and presentation skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power-Point,
- Able to travel including once/year to USA
