职位描述
Job Purpose:
Execute and implement procurement strategy over China under the guidance of Lead Buyer, Country Procurement Head, Regional Category Domain Head and Global Lead Buyer.
Reporting Line:
- Reporting line: report to Lead Buyer - Common Spend, China
Responsibilities:
- The Buyer of Common Spend's geographic scope covers multiple sites in China, including Pharmaceutical, Vaccine, Consumer Healthcare, R&D and all Manufacturing Sites with the below related sub-categories:
* Car Fleet and Travel
* HR, Insurance and Consulting
* IT and Telecom
* Real Estate and Site Service
- Develop strong relationship with executive customers at country level, build a network of key suppliers to drive standardization plans in major repetitive categories of spends
- Develop a deep culture of market intelligence in all sub-categories pertaining to the domain of marketing and sales
- Set procurement strategies adapted to categories and sub-categories and implement in China
- Prepare the region to NEXT: maintenance of supplier database (cleaning and harmonisation), master data
- Implement, share best practices per category and sub category in China
- Participate in opportunity investigation with Regional Category Domain Head and Global Category Managers on global sourcing opportunities (for other regions than AP/Japan) to serve the rest of the world and generate additional savings from alternative/innovative sources
- Other ad hoc assignments
Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree from a decent university
- Major in Supply Chain Management or Procurement is preferred but not a must
- Masters or MBA is a plus
Language:
Must be truly bilingual, fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and in writing
Experience:
Must-have Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of full-time working experience in purchasing from big and well-know companies
- Solid experience in contract management
Nice-to-have Experience:
- Indirect purchasing or service sourcing experience is preferred
- Industry background preferred: Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Electronics, FMCG, Manufacturing, or procurement related consulting

- Proactive, self motivated, autonomous attitude
- Proven ability to think strategically, long term and big picture. Can translate agreed strategies into clear, tangible and actionable plans and initiatives
