General Summary

Under the direction of the Sourcing Project Manager, will effectively and efficiently assist to identify, assess and establish Asian sources and support to supply B & S globally at the most economical TOTAL costs. Frequent travel is required.

Job Duties (Tasks, Responsibilities, etc.):

1. Supplier marketing survey, assessment and developing.

2. Follow up RFQ, Tooling PO, lead time.

3. Negotiate contract terms with supplier.

4. Communication of B&S requirements, practices and processes to Asian suppliers.

5. Measurement and improvement of Asian supplier performance.

6. Support Sourcing project manager and sourcing teams on market research, defining China commodity strategies and implementation.

7. DCC according to B&S sourcing procedure.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

1. Self Motivated, result driven /goal oriented with customer focus and sense of urgency.

2. Knowledge of engine components products (Die Casting, Plastic, Stamping).

3. Knowledge of business and international trading process

4. Knowledge of quality process will be plus.

5. Negotiation skills, project management skills and time management skills are required.

6. Energetic and opening character

7. Frequent travel (50% as a Min.) is required.

8. Be able to read blue print, PC literate, able to use Microsoft Office software applications, sound presentation skills at all levels.

9. Prefer English skills (oral & writing communications)

10. Japanese language or know Japanese working style will be plus

Education Requirements (Degree and/or additional relevant training):

1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience (Years of related experience):

1. Required having minimum 2 years' experience in sourcing and supplier development.

2. A plus for working in a cross function environment and /or in a global culture.
