Job summary
? Responsible for materials and supplies consumed in the total operation of the company, leading the Receiving, Warehousing, Materials planning and Inventory Control functions and the movement of materials. Focus on keeping with company policy, schedules and costs, and recommends policies and programs relating to the Materials management activities.
Essential duties and responsibilities
? Departmental budgets.
? Responsible for the monitoring of the shop workload and capacity in order to balance materials acquisition against requirements.
? Production and Inventory control
? MPS and Work order management
? Issue purchase orders for raw materials.
? Prepare forecasts, determine order quantities.
? Management responsibility for receiving and stock room function
? Staffing and Compensation, hiring and performance issues.
? Cross-functional communications and cooperation.
? Establishing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
? Prepare business process for the introduction of e business and procurement after the installation of a new ERP system.
Skills and knowledge
? Must have significant experience in ERP, Demand Flow Technology. Master Scheduling, Computerized Production and Inventory Systems, Logistics, Purchasing, Project Management, and an understanding of Quality Systems such as ISO 9000 and Vendor Quality Management.
Education and experience
? A B.S. degree in Management and/or Engineering with a minimum of five years experience in materials management.
? Supply Chain Management Certification is required.
? ISO 9000 Policy and Procedures
? BTU Safety and Procedures
? Team Skills Training
?
