Client Details

Our client is a well-established home appliances OEM with global customer base. Product expertise ranges from vacuum cleaners, water filters, personal care and kitchen appliances etc. Due to their continuous growth they are now looking for a Quality Director to join their Shenzhen facility.


Description

Reporting to COO, you would oversee and manage the growth, productivity, and technical capabilities of the quality team. You will be responsible for the technical and professional development of the staff under your organization, proactively contributing to the strategic direction of the company, growing new and existing clients, and the quality of the company's services and deliverables.



You would be the high level window for customer contact and escalation level in case of problems. You need to be able to address complex situations and issues, and articulate a path forward. You would mentor and lead junior and senior quality staff, guide projects, inspire through example, infuse passion in quality, and help build a strong internal team.



You will establish quality, reliability, raw material, in-process product inspection standards as well as the product quality documentation system. You will achieve financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, initiating corrective actions and minimizing organization's cost to quality. You will contribute technical knowledge and expertise to product development projects, and conceptualize ways of providing new and improved value to customers.




Profile

Degree qualified in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, you should demonstrate track record of success in quality assurance on products developed with multi-disciplinary teams from inception to production. In addition to QA, you should have sound knowledge and hands on experience in Production and Engineering; 6 Sigma Black Belt is a plus. You should be an experienced leader that is able to lead in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment, and to mentor individuals and nurture talent. You should have effective interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as the flexibility and adaptability of approach, focused on finding a workable solution to every problem. Excellent communication in English and Mandarin with all levels required. Sound judgment and ability to "see the big picture" when meeting the customers' needs are essential.
