Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director – Vendor Management, the Vendor Manager, Outdoor Products will support the process and governance of some sourcing vendor relationships across all channels and brands of the Outdoor Products segment of Vista Outdoor. This individual will provide pro-active support for the development, planning, execution and communication of sourcing strategies that meet or exceed Working Capital, Cash Flow, and Customer Experience targets in order to develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage for Vista Outdoor.
A key objective of this role will be to proactively manage a system of metrics and data reporting to drive efficient execution of products to market. This objective will, in part, be realized via successful execution of:
? data driven vendor performance management
? management of the onboarding process for new vendor partners
? execution of vendor consolidation strategies

The qualified candidate must have a proven and successful track record of performance in a fast paced results-oriented organization. This position will prove to be a challenging, highly visible and rewarding opportunity for the individual who enjoys working strategically with key business leaders.

Education & Training:
? Minimum 3+ years of experience with expertise in sourcing and commercialization processes and best practices in a consumer products company, with experience in outdoor products strongly preferred
? Understanding of lean manufacturing preferred
? Bachelor’s degree required
? Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
