Job Summary:
The Senior Software Developer is primarily responsible for design and implementation of software deliverables for business needs. The role manages software development lifecycle for J2EE enterprise applications from initial business analysis, technical design, coding and testing through software delivery. Additional responsibilities include documenting software systems and advising other team members on quality assurance, software configuration, business requirements and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Consults with various departments to evaluate interface between systems or components. Interprets business requirements to develop technical specifications, performance requirements and timelines to resolve client problems.
? Designs and develops software systems, using object oriented design techniques
? Code creation, maintenance, enhancement and migration.
? Analyzes information to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
? Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures.
? Provides technical support including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
? Consults, advises and educates leaders and other associates through presentations.
? Prioritizes and manages multiple tasks at once.
Requirements:
? Relevant work experience in the following technologies:
o Java
o EJB 3.0
o UML
o XML
o Web Services
o Drools/Guvnor (Nice to have)
o Lucene (Nice to have)
o Microsoft Office Applications
? Design and development of large scale distributed applications
? Object Oriented Design Techniques
? Application Architectures, Design Patterns, Algorithms and Data Structures
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field.
? Good written and verbal English communication skills, CET 6 or equivalent is required
