IBM has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Platform Computing, a privately held company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Platform Computing is a global leader in cluster and grid management software and is widely viewed as the systems software platform of choice for deploying and managing computationally and data intensive environments and helping client's gain insights from this data to solve challenging technical and business problems.
Platform Computing, serving more than 2,000 of the world's most demanding organizations for over 20 years, utilizing our workload and resource management solutions have delivered IT responsiveness and lower costs for enterprise and HPC applications. Platform has strategic relationships with Cray, Dell, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Red Hat, and SAS. We are currently looking to grow our Brand Sales team!
Opening for successful IBM software seller that would be interested in acting as an advocate for a STG acquisition within IBM customer accounts. This person would be responsible for assisting the acquisition's sales team getting into legacy IBM accounts, mediating between the acquisition's sales force and IBM SWG sellers, promoting teaming between acquisition's sales force and IBM SWG sellers, acting as an advocate for the acquisition's portfolio. IBM's success in acquisition is directly tied to our ability to leverage IBM's existing infrastructure to drive growth within the acquisition and to leverage our infrastructure we need to insure all barriers and hurdles are removed. This role will have visibility in both the SWG and STG organizations.
Preferred: software sales skills, negotiation skills, SWG experience, client executive interface skills.

Bachelor's Degree
At least 8 years experience in Consultative Sales
At least 5 years experience in Proven track record selling software
At least 3 years experience in in selling both Line of Business IT, as well as Infrastructure IT
