Roles and Responsibilities
·Provide technical support during product development process to resolve issues at early stages
·To assists the Manager guiding junior technicians to fulfill technician role.
·To assists the Manager guiding junior technicians provide support to their counterparts.
·Support merchandiser and Quality Assurance counterparts in IBO on technical issues and provide recommendations
·Review and modify specification sheets and product development packages for correct materials and components.
·Work with vendors, factories in resolving technical problems for development and production.
·Evaluate and determine footwear quality and fit in comparison to specification packages.
·Measure footwear, check construction and workmanship and screen out unacceptable sample.
·Provide comments and guidance to production sources for corrections
·Audit size specifications and check grading, patterns, lasts, cutting dies, fitting, and soles.
·Coordinate with footwear inspection team to monitor production and quality control.
·Issue reports to production sources and IBO.
·Train and assess vendors’ technician in VAP program and certification.
