GENERAL SUMMARY


1. Provides proficient design services related to tire mold design and related equipment.

2. Able to take inputs, process the information and generate outputs efficiently.

3. Performs routine assignments in the entry level to a professional role.

4. Strong computer skills

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks

   


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This includes, but is not limited to:

1. Understands quality requirements, standards, SOP’s of mold design and CAD processes and procedures.

2. Provides accurate CAD models, files and drawings for the procurement of tire molds and related equipment.

3. Detail-oriented individual with good interpersonal skills

4. Be able to interact and communicate primarily with peers and mid-level managers within the organization

5. Understands all basic aspects of mold design in their area of expertise

6. Participates in intra-and inter-department teams to improve existing processes, and/or develop new processes, CAD models and methods for improved speed and quality.

7. Develop problem solving skills related to math and geometry for accurate rendition of tire mold design

8. Provides accurate interpretation of information provided from various departments and customers to convert the information into design requirements

9. Works effectively with outsource mold, model, casting and sipe vendors, and other customers and suppliers

10. Maintains and/or develops working knowledge of computer applications

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technology, preferably Mechanical Engineering

2. 2 - 4 year working experience.

3. CET-4, preferably CET-6

4. Computer Aided Design experience (Preferable Pro-E)

5. 3D Modeling experience (Preferred)

6. Computer Science minor (Preferred)
