Quality Controller upholstery materials China

Quality Controller
We are looking for someone in Shanghai area who has experience in judging upholstery materials. Upholstery materials we use are fabrics, leather and PU.

For our suppliers of these upholstery materials we are looking for a controller who can check production in accordance with our quality requirements. The results must be clearly communicated to our office in The Netherlands. These tests take place between production and shipment. The characteristics of the upholstery materials need to be tested and checked before shipping, but also the way of shipping/Loading need to be approved and in accordance with the office in The Netherlands. The controller also needs to test during production so he can take action in time, if necessary, to avoid problems.
Also the purchase orders and the delivery times or possible delays need to be noted in the orders.
The controller will also search for new possibilities at other suppliers in order of the office in The Netherlands.
The Quality Controller will be a key figure between the office in The Netherlands and the suppliers in China.

Job description

- Responsible for the quality of all upholstery materials leaving from China
- Responsible for testing and checking upholstery materials at the suppliers
- Ensure that our quality requirements are followed
- Follow up production and report to office in The Netherlands
- Work closely together with the office in The Netherlands
- Follow up purchase orders, delivery times and process this in the system and keep this up to date

Requested qualifications / experience

- At least 3 years (working) experience with upholstery materials (fabrics, leather and PU)
- Take responsibility
- English and Mandarin speaking and writing is a must.
- Could accept flexible working hours.
- Be a fast learner and be able to work under pressure.
- Could cooperate with suppliers and colleagues to achieve the assigned with high efficiency.
- Has a good feeling with European and in general Western standards is required.
