Technical support engineers are troubleshooters, providing help to end users who may locate not only China but also the whole Asia Pacific Area. In doing so, they are frequently called upon to investigate and resolve problems in fluent English.



The tasks of these engineers could include one or more of the following:



1. Helping customers install newly purchased software

2. Training customers in the use of software applications

3. Diagnosing and resolving software problems or conflicts

4. Evaluating software programs and making suggestions for their improvement

5. Customizing software or hardware

6. Answering technical questions

7. Answer phone calls from users, in order to resolve specific problems

8. Use automated diagnostic programs to solve problems

9. Write training manuals

10. Identify recurrent problems and help users resolve them


Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

2. Must speak fluent English without any accent.

3. Must have very good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese & English.

4. Must be a quick learner.

5. Certifications such as MCSE, CNE, MSP, Cisco or similar certifications would be preferred.

6. Possessing more than 2 years previous Tech Support experience would be preferred.

7. Possessing very good experience with various computer peripherals and applications would be preferred.

8. Possessing very strong problem solving and resolution experience would be preferred.

9. Must be very customer oriented and focused on meeting the customer's needs.

10. Experience in telephone and/or hands-on application, desktop, network and/or database support of both internal and external customers

11. Experience in installation and configuration of PCs, servers, hardware, software, etc.

12. Leadership qualities: Integrity, attention to detail, timeline sensitive, goal oriented, motivator
