Design and Industrialization manager

Company
Our client is the subsidiary of a French group, leader in clean packaging, located in Suzhou for 10 years, designs and manufactures products, equipment and solutions for medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics markets.
To strengthen their development they are looking for a senior Technical Manager (Design and Industrialization Manager).
The position reports directly to the French General Manager based in Suzhou.

Responsibility
Job Responsibility:
1. Lead, mentor and manage the technical department, including design of products and molds, industrialization, engineering and special equipment activity.
2. To prepare the costing for the commercial team and coordinate the product developments.
3. Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of projects.

Job Description:
1. In cooperation with the Commercial team and with the support of the Group, design new products based on customers’ requirements and company solutions.
2. Prepare the costing of new products for the commercial team to make commercial offer.
3. Support implementation of new products/equipment/services solutions.
4. Participate in technical discussion with customer to define customer needs and promote solutions.
5. Participate in weekly meetings with general management and with technical department.
6. Attend exhibitions and other business events.

Requirement
1. More than 4 years relevant experience in a similar position
2. Knowledge of design software
3. Strong knowledge of thermoforming. Sealing processes is a plus
4. Knowledge of one of our key markets (Medical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics) is a plus
5. Strong activity, good verbal skills, affinity and bargaining skills, establish and maintain relationships with customer in the short term.
6. Good communication in both Chinese and English. French is a plus
