Job Responsibilities

- Assist and support development team during final inspection of the salesman samples, to have a first overview of styles, materials, constructions and collection complexity.
- Take part in the handover meeting to receive all detailed information for production, to be finalized during PPS meetings with factories
- Verify that all information received are complete and clear. Any missing will have to be followed up
- Verify availability of all needed information/references to check production
- Check production line capacity/planning vs orders passed to factory
- Verify timing/availability of all materials/components required for production
- Material in bound control
- Coordinate with Production Coordination team for information concerning material testing and factory production planning
- Coordinate PPS Meeting with Factory and Production coordination team
- In line inspection
- Final inspection
- Verify that all labelling and packaging instructions are in compliance with Company requirements
- Authorize/reject shipments
- Complete all relevant reports for material, in line and final inspection
- Implement “early warning” procedures for issues that can compromise the delivery date, while monitoring constantly the production status
- Report mistakes/problems in factory quality control procedure and quality standards
- Manage all processes according to given deadlines
- Ensure respect of Company quality standards, by following in detail and with accuracy Production inspection procedures
- Attend weekly meeting and report activities
- Feedback to relevant cross functional team concerning production problems (i.e. material quality, technical improvements, etc)
- Perform basic factory pre-audit when requested (upon specific training received)
- Work closely with PD Team, Technicians and Materials Sourcing team to ensure that all aspects of quality and durability of the product are met, while referring to Production Coordinators for anything that can interfere with timely deliveries
- Daily communications with vendors


Requirements

- At least 5 years in Handbag and SLG industry
- Good knowledge of materials, constructions, machinery and workmanship
- Ability to identify potential problems and to provide guidance for solution identification and implementation
- Highly organized and effective, with clear “hands on” approach
- Flexible and adaptable, able to cope with changes in a continuously evolving environment
- Good written and spoken English
- Team player, with open mind and willing to learn
- Skillful in computer operating
- Willing to travel
