Job description
Qualification:
A well-established technical leader who has demonstrated in-depth technical knowledge and leadership through multiple successes
in leading a sizable team to deliver product functions, industry solutions, and/or consulting services which contribute to significant
revenue growth or retention of critical customers. In addition, the following attributes are highly desired for candidates taking the STSM
role in system z brand team:
Recognition and respect by at least one large customer and three senior leaders in the industry
Demonstrated competency in managing technical projects
Capability for communicating with senior leaders in the WW IBM organizations
Job description:
To foster and lead a task force consisting of technical resources in system z brand team, CDL, and CSTL to enable BPs, customers,
and IBM field teams to materialize business opportunities in the following growth areas:
Server consolidation and cloud solution on system z
Business analytics on system z
Mission critical applications and core banking transformation
Continuous Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions offered by GDPS
To achieve the set business result, the leader is expected to lead the team to develop the 'enablement kit', to interact with business development
executives to understand the growth strategy, to work with IBM field teams to identify the need, and to mobilize resources in the task force to
deliver education, training, best practice, performance tuning, etc to fill the skill and knowledge gap. The leader is also expected to be capable
of identifying product weaknesses, providing insight to the resolutions, and communicating with product architects to create product requirements
for the inclusion in future releases.
