Day to Day Responsibilities
Lead efforts to develop and execute strategies to utilize a network of CMs to advance CAG’s tactical and strategic objectives for auto interiors.
Develop and maintain relationships and agreements to derive competitive cost and value throughout the supply chain.
Collect and analyze supplier data from multiple sources. Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses and develop information and intelligence to be used in decision making and in SC and manufacturing strategies.
Hold regular supply chain strategy and manufacturing sharing sessions with CAG
leadership team and other glass businesses within Asia to achieve synergies.
Conduct site audits to ensure the highest standards of process control and discipline are in place to deliver competitive advantage.
Serve as the expert on contract manufacturing and manufacturing for auto interiors. Lead the creation of a database on capability, cost and capacity for the auto interiors supply chain.
Create and present to CAG leadership periodic updates summarizing business strategies, capabilities and competitive advantages of the supply chain along with reports on manufacturing effectiveness.
Lead cross functional teams in various strategy, cost and capability projects.
Provide inputs for an annual “Competitive Overview” for the auto interiors Asia region summarizing the product, cost, capacity, and market performance of critical suppliers, their strategies, and their product offerings.
Development and management of quality systems including required documentation.


Travel Requirements
Travel required and could be ~25% of time - will principally be China/Asia
Position will involve some limited international travel to Europe and NA.

Qualifications
Required education
BS technical or supply chain
MBA is a plus

Required Years and Area of Experience
Minimum of 15 years supply chain and manufacturing

Required Skills
Strategic thinker.
Strong financial analytical skills; ability to both create and utilize cost models.
Strong communication skills both written and oral. Ability to influence strategic outcomes. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization – internally and externally - from top executives to direct labor employees at a CM.
Manufacturing and supply chain deep understanding. Familiar with Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model and applying it to new product introduction/new business development type of situations.
Experience with scoping programs in a concise way, with nebulous customer requirements, working jointly to clarify the customer’s needs while preparing the necessary supply chain solutions.
Experience managing internal and external organization to deliver to objectives, manage scope, manage budget, and deliver to spec and on time.
Demonstrated excellence in qualitative and quantitative judgment.
Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
